The Legend of Adlez

The Legend of Adlez was a rather large tome written by Biggs Trifecta, circa 1986. It describes the adventure of a young hero, Hypertext, who surpasses all odds to defeat an evil Dyemon overlord who holds the Princess Adlez prisoner in a large castle.

The fledgeling Realmworlds Publishing liked the story so much, they bought the IP, planning on extending the book into a franchise. Although idea was never pursued, and the world of Migols described in the work is independent to that of the world of Battal, several key elements in this tome were woven into the ELotH canon, such as the way in which Dyemons are depicted.

Later, the book is incorporated entirely into the ELotH world as a tome that exists as a story within the world. The Elemenstors used the Legend of Adlez, which they refer to as "an informed allegory", for ideas as to how to make sure the Mute Blade of Non-Life never wreaked havoc again.
