A descendant of Welregar of Ebonshire and Lady B'gt'ts, she played a large role in the Second Great Elemenstation War. She is described as a tall, beautiful woman having dark red hair, green eyes, pointed ears and a very well-endowed athletic body which oddly enough possessed large white feathered wings. Lyta A’lon is one of the tallest women in ELotH:TES canon, standing at 6 hoofhands and 4 squith tall. Not only was Lyta beautiful she was also described as super intelligent, strong and quick on her feet, plus a very accomplished swordswoman.
She wielded her ancestor’s weapon called the Triskaidekaphilia, which she preferred to keep in the twelfth setting which was a bastard sword that bestowed great wisdom. She also possessed The Intransigent Shield, which she used in combination with her bastard sword to devastating effect. She wore Holl'onnianya's Tiara which she got from Ver'na, Lady B’gt’ts familiar who at the time that Lyta A’lon lived was a full grown adult platinum dragon. Some have claimed that she used the Armor of Fullchesthood but it is unlikely as any larger assets than she already (and they were considerable even for her size) had would be more of a burden in combat.
She was a Hotblood and utilized her Fire Elemenstation in combination with her swordswomanship to enhance her ability to fight at both close range and at long range. Lyta was accompained by her armoire furniliar, Trina, who held her spare clothes, armor, and occassionally her weapons, making sure they were safe on their travels. Needless to say that Lyta A’lon was an epic hero. It was known also that she tended to have a quick temper and be very passionate about everything that she did. This seemed to play well with S'yrf'yl the Immortal as the two seemed to be a bit of an item during the Second Great Elemenstation War.
An oddity about Lyta A’lon is her wings which none of her ancestors seem to have possessed. A number of theories have been panned in canon and by fans as to how she got these wings and who she is.
Personally I prefer the Holl'onnianya’s Avatar Theory for her as it would be more epic. Also this is all the information I have on her but I know that there was going to be a book coming out soon (or recently came out) that was going to go over the Second Great Elemenstation War but I don’t remember what it was. –bfg00-
That would be Something Wicker This Way Comes, which is a combination Horror/War novel that covers the myriad horrible monsters, ghosts, and spooks unleashed by the Wicked Wicker during the war and their effects throughout Battal. It came out last October, but I haven't picked it up. I've heard it described as "Monster Squad meets Ghostbusters meets Van Helsing meets Saving Private Ryan" in the reviews in the Barnes and Noble Newsletter. - Zeta
Ah, I haven't looked at that either I've been too busy reading the ElemenstorLance books, which is what reminded me of this character. I seem to remember the Wicked Wicker being mentioned in Book 4 in conjunction with the stories told about the War. I think it was Radwrack the Black that was mentioned as being controlled by the Wicked Wicker in Book 4 but I could be wrong on that. -bfg00-
