Food has played a large part in "The Elemenstor Saga". When characters are hungry, they eat food to become full. When they are tired, they sleep on sacks of meat. The entire cast of characters nearly died of starvation in "The Rubion Sword" after failing to catch and skin an elk. Needless to say, food is of dire importance in Battal. The discipline known as Culimancy gave rise to many unique dishes throughout the Saga.
