Blee

Blee is one of the twelve realms of The Magic Sword Kings Period. Since its destruction in 1003, it is also called the Ruins of Blee.

Several nations have arisen in the fertile grasslands, but none of lasted even if they had initially flourished. By-gone civilizations and sparsely populated plains seem to be the fate for the land. So much so that when Realmworlds Confectionary launched its lauded Portent's Choco-peanut Wheels (very similar to Reese's Peanutbutter Cups) they used the slogan, "Chocolate and peanutbutter goes together like Ruins and Blee."

A small village in Blee called Bleewood was known as "Blee" (or the "City of Blee") during a brief economic boom that culminated in the Great Elemenstation War. It's location is now one of the more exiting Ruins to visit.

History

Blee was destroyed during the Vampyric Wars in year 1003, when the kingdom's capital was thoroughly sacked, and all buildings razed. The tales of Blee's final days are detailed in the novella The Last Days of Blee. This includes the story of the last desperate attempt by the kingdoms of Kelembad, Graha, Mandleclang, and Blee to unite to meet the Vampyric threat. Also told is the tale of a spunky Tribbit named Goldimaris who lived on the streets of the capital city and gave hope to the palace guards by bringing wreaths of Raggamuni Flowers and ripe red Pearcicles. Who can forget the tragic ending when she sacrifices herself in a futile final attempt to save the last free pallisade?

After The Sundering, around the year 11,000, a band of Telesorcellors moved into the ruins of Blee and began the society which would grow into the Great Nation of Nar. Freed from the need for most industry by their powerful magik, they were able to achieve incredible levels of civilization while remaining essentially agrarian. They grew into a great society (hence the name), yet remained in harmony with the land, eventually moving their dwellings into the rolling hills of Central Blee. They were invaded by Brothic Gandlebar in 15,854 and almost defeated in the First Battle of Blee, and were completely destroyed in the Second Battle of Blee in 15,866 after which the Colossus of Blee was erected. The short-lived kingdom of Bron, begun by Brothic, was then established, but then subsequently fell in the last years of the Great War of Magiks and Things, leaving Blee again in ruins by the year 15,882.

Geography

Along the western border of Blee are the Wang Mountains, the tallest peak of which is Mt. Wang. Blee has a long coast line to the east along the Ennumerable Sea and Blee's ports made the nation rich from trade in salt and natron.

Central Blee is dominated by the Grasslands of Blee where the wild Eops roam.

It should be noted that although Mt. Wang was technically part of the Wang Mountains of Blee, the Wang Kingdom was not officially part of the Twelve Realms, but rather a separatist nation.

In southern Blee there once stood a gigantic statue known in all the lands as The Giant of Blee. Now all that remains in the base of the statue, and the left leg. Still, the remaining piece of the monument is twenty stories tall, and the highest point in the area.
